Jimmy Flood, the boxer
FLOOD REMEMBERED _ Former high-ranking contender Jimmy Flood, 63,
who died last week, is remembered by many in the Las Vegas boxing
fraternity as a Damon Runyon-type character who hung around the
Strip and at local fight cards. Yorkville Videos..... Marty's videos are found by searching for Yorkville, Manhattan, New York City on You Tube. I put the pictures under school, old friends, Kronk's, etc. My user name is 'canthishappen' and my old videos are under 'babypalms' but when Google's took over, my user name ended up in limbo. Enjoy. Note: You Tube is not so user friendly with links. I'll work on trying to find a method to show these videos and put the link below. It's great for all to share this information with the young ones when they ask where you grew up. If you want to send info on your street, just click on this link to send me an email. |
| Yorkville's Who's Who | If you want to get in touch with an old friend, see if they are listed on the following Yorkville's Who's Who, then click on this listing and see if they added their email address over the past few years. We were music novices at the time and loved doo wop. Here a place to see the music that captured our attention back in the 50s. On Sunday nights, we would listen to Jocko who was a DJ out of Harlem at the time playing all our favorite music. Let me know about your favorite group. Yorkville Memories in Tunes is my new page on my favorite oldies. |
| The Dougherty Garden | Not the main reason but a good one when you're living in Florida is what you can grow. I opted to replace the grass with anything that I could get my hands on. Still replacing the grass and having a lot of fun doing it. |
